Relojes Garmin
Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, Enduro, and more
Export from Running Momma
Open your training plan and tap the share button to export the workout as a .fit file. Save it somewhere easy to find on your computer.
Connect your watch
Plug your Garmin watch into your computer with its USB cable. It will appear as a removable drive, just like a USB stick.
Copy to NewFiles folder
Open the watch drive and navigate to GARMIN > NewFiles. Drop your .fit file in there.
Eject and go
Safely eject your watch, and the workout will appear in your workout list. That's it — you're ready to train.
Tip: The watch processes files from NewFiles automatically. After processing, the file gets moved — so don't worry if it disappears from the folder.
Relojes COROS
PACE, APEX, VERTIX, and more
Export the .fit file from Running Momma and save it to your phone.
Open the COROS app, go to Training Plan, and tap the import button.
Select your .fit file. The workout syncs to your watch automatically on the next connection.
Herramientas de Transferencia
No special software needed — use what's already on your computer.
Windows
File Explorer handles everything. Plug in your watch, open the drive, and drag your .fit file to the right folder.
macOS
Finder works natively. Or use OpenMTP (free, open-source) for MTP devices.
Preguntas Frecuentes
What is a .fit file?
FIT (Flexible and Interoperable Data Transfer) is the industry standard for sports data. It's used by Garmin, COROS, Wahoo, Suunto, and most major watch brands. Running Momma exports structured workouts in this format so your watch knows exactly what intervals, paces, and alerts to follow.
Can I upload .fit files through Garmin Connect?
Garmin Connect supports uploading activity files (past runs), but not structured workout files (future training plans). That's why USB transfer to the GARMIN/NewFiles/ folder is the way to go for training plans.
Do I need special software to transfer files?
Nope. File Explorer on Windows and Finder on macOS both work perfectly. If you're on a Mac with an MTP-based device, OpenMTP is a free, open-source alternative you can install via Homebrew.
Will my watch show fueling reminders?
Yes! If you have fueling alerts enabled in Settings, Running Momma embeds gel/nutrition reminders directly in the .fit file. Your watch will vibrate or beep when it's time to fuel — no phone needed during the run.
The file disappeared from NewFiles — is that normal?
Yes, totally normal. Garmin watches automatically process files from NewFiles and move them. If the file disappeared, it means the watch successfully imported your workout. Check your workout list on the watch to confirm.
